Emanuel’s Handbell Choir performs about once a month, playing musical selections appropriate for the season. The choir is blessed with a three-octave set of Schulmerich handbells donated by longtime Emanuel members Mrs. Louise Martz and her daughter, Donna, in memory of husband and father Bill Martz, and also in honor of Emanuel members Gene and Peg Lens. An additional set of hand chimes is used as needed.

Handbell ringers include people with a wide range of musical backgrounds, from people who have never read music before to music teachers. The difficulty level can be individually adjusted depending on how many bells one is interested in playing, and new ringers are always welcome. Rehearsals are held for approximately an hour each week following the Sunday morning church service.
